About Project
My capstone is a brand identity development project for Balanced Mind, an initiative to help people reduce their stress and create a better work-life balance for themselves. This project involved researching, designing, and iterating the design system for Balanced Mind, as well as envisioning proof of concept deliverables which would reach the project’s target audience. The process book details my process of research and brand development, while the poster showcases envisioned deliverables that Balanced Mind would have if it were a real-world company.

Project Phases
Concepting
I first developed the concept behind Balanced Mind, as well as a moodboard for initial visual ideas. After my project proposal was accepted, I moved on to research.
Research
Next, I researched the topics of how the mind handles stress and motivation, through different lenses including neuroscience, psychology, and anthropology. This research informed my target audience and aspects of my visual identity.
Design Exploration
With the bulk of my research completed, I explored brand identity design directions which would resonate with my target audience.
Design Refinement
Based on feedback from professors, I continued to iterate my brand identity design until it reached its final form.
Process Book & Outcomes
Utilizing the Balanced Mind brand identity, I developed a publication detailing my design process and research, as well as a banner showcasing envisioned outcomes for Balanced Mind.
